(upbeat digital music) - [Instructor] So I hope you had a chance to try the challenge. I'm going to take you through the steps now so that you can see how I would approach this exercise. First, create a new score from the Sibelius quick start. Use a blank manuscript paper, click once. Choose letter, paper size, and portrait orientation, and an unchanged house style. Add a flute instrument. So I'm going to go to woodwinds and double-click on flute. We're going to use the standard four four time signature with our eighth notes beamed in fourths. There is no pickup bar. There is no tempo text, but it does have a metronome marking, so I'm going to check that box, and we have quarter note equals 100. I'm going to choose the key signature F major. And the title of this is Exercise 1. I'm going to tab over, and go ahead and put your own name as the composer.
