- We're going to start off with a review of some important materials. This should be helpful for everyone and should get us all up to speed with each other. To start, let's open our Example file. To do this, you can navigate to wherever the file is stored on your computer and double-click on it or, from the Quick Start, you can choose Open Other and navigate to it and open it from there. Before doing anything else, let's make sure we all have some of the same preferences settings so that our application will look and work similarly. If you recall, you can get to Preferences by using the shortcut Control or Command comma. There are a few very important preferences I'd like you to check at the start of this course. On the Display page, especially if you're using my example files, have your Default View options set to View options, Saved In Score.
