- [Woman] As you've seen and as I've mentioned many times before, Sibelius does not automatically nudge notes to the left or right when you cut notes out of a bar or paste notes into a bar. When you cut it leaves a gap, and when you paste it pastes over any material in its path. It doesn't move existing materials out of the way and preserve them. Traditionally the only way to nudge notes left or right in Sibelius was to manually cut and paste them, and we still use that process today. For example, if you need to nudge a group of notes to the right by one beat, let's say all of these notes right here, maybe instead of starting on beat one they needed to start on beat two, what we'd have to do is select the entire passage, cut the entire passage out of the score, show the beat where you want it to be pasted into, so I'll have to select this rest, create that quarter note beat, so I can then select beat two, and then paste.…
