- [Narrator] Before we move into new methods of note input, I thought we should have a quick review of the note input methods and procedures that I expect you to be familiar with. Regardless of how you input notes, your keypad panel, which is found at the view tab panels group, and which is always floating around on the screen here, is mapped to your computer's numeric keypad and that's where you're going to find and access all of your note durations, note head markings, accidentals, and ties. To input notes with your mouse, escape so that nothing selected in your score, selected duration in the keypad, and you can add an accidental and note head marking as well if you'd like to. Hover your mouse over a bar, from left to right, find the proper rhythmic snap position, remember that we've set this to an eighth note in preferences, so in three four I'm going to have six places where I can put that quarter note.
