Drum set notation: Alphanumeric

- [Instructor] Let's get started with alphanumeric input of a drum set part. If you have the drum set file that I've prepared for you, you can follow along, copying the notation that's in the first top staff, into the second lower staff. Avoid using copy paste, the goal is to learn how to input drum notation from scratch. Remember that the note positions on the five line drum staff correspond to the pitches on a standard treble clef staff. So in this example, the high hat, (high hat plays) is produced with the note letter G. The snare, (snare plays) with the letter C. The kick, (kick plays) with the letter E, and the crash cymbal, (crash cymbal plays) with the letter A. There are also some toms up here, that would be produced with B, (tom plays) and A. (lower tom plays) Looking at this example, I actually think you'll have better luck starting with the second voice first, because it's more simple…
