Combining and separating notes into voices

[Instructor] - The next step on our multiple voice journey is combining multiple voices together into one voice. And you actually already know how to do this. Using a familiar Cannon or Round as an example and spending some time analyzing the results will be helpful in developing a deeper understanding of Sibelius. So, in our example file let's go slow, and let's range select bars three and four. Which contain two voices. Than use the familiar shortcut ALT+1 on Windows or Option 1 on Mac to change all of the selected notes or objects. In to voice 1. This combines all of the notes from voices one and two together into voice one. After you combine the voices, notice how the longer note values will turn into smaller tied note values to accommodate for the new single voiced notation.
