Understanding the Shopify pricing model can help you figure out which plan best suits your specific business model. In this video, have a look through some of the main features of Shopify and see why it might be a great platform for you to sell your products on.
- [Narrator] Shopify is a very robust platform for e-commerce sellers. It provides you with more or less everything you might need to effectively market your products, sell them and fulfill them quickly and seamlessly. Let's have a closer look at some of the other features that Shopify have available and how you can easily get set up with an account. Firstly, let's take a look at some of their pricing options. You can start a free 14 day trial, or they also have a plan that starts from $29 a month and their plans go up to $299 per month. It will be worth going through the different features that each plan provides and seeing which one best suits your business. You can always upgrade at a later date. Shopify also allows you to sell, not only online, but offline as well. They have these really cool point of sale features. So if you're selling online as well as offline, then you might want to have a look at this. They have plans for occasional in-person selling and also if you have a retail store as well. They have different hardware that you can make use of, so I want to take a look at some of them. They have the Shopify Retail Kit, and this you can purchase for $229. This is mainly if you want to purchase a kit that you can add to your offline store to help you connect it with your Shopify selling. They also have other kits that are for more pocket-sized retailers. This Chip & Swipe Reader is only $29 and you can literally take it with you if you decide to sell some of your products offline. They also have another solution, which is a Tap & Chip Reader, as well, which you might also find really useful. This one is $49. So if you're planning on doing any offline selling, then I recommend having a look at one of these solutions. Let's go and take a look at how you can set up an account with Shopify. You should see a start free trial button. If you click on that, then Shopify will allow you to explore their web platform for 14 days for free. All you need is your email address and create a password and a store name. Once you have figured out that your store name is available, you can click on the create store tab and Shopify will create your store very quickly. If you answer a few of these questions, it gives Shopify more of an understanding of what time of features your Shopify website will need. They ask me if I'm already selling and I'm going to select I'm not selling products yet. They also ask what my current revenue is. And once you give them this information, you can click Next. You then want to add your information here, as well. And once you do that, you can click enter my store. Once you've filled out all of your information, you should see Shopify look like this. This is your dashboard and this is where you will be working from. Shopify try to make things convenient for merchants to not only create an effective e-commerce website to promote and sell your products, but they also do their best to incorporate offline selling as well. You may want to make use of this.
