- [Instructor] Creating coupons is a classic tactic to increase sales. You can do this under discounts in the admin. We don't have any yet, so let's click create discount code. The first field is the name of the coupon. That's what the customer will type in to use it. Let's type in Black Friday. Next you'll want to specify the type of coupon, an absolute value, meaning one, two, three, $10 off, a percentage off, or unlock free shipping, or buy X and get Y. Let's go ahead and give people a certain percentage off, and we'll choose 10%, and we can apply this to an order, collections of products, or a specific product. We can also require minimums, so I could say you have to buy at least two copies of the game to use this coupon. Then we get into who can use the coupon. So this can be specific groups of customers, a specific customer, as well as how many times they can use it and how long the coupon is active.…
