- [Instructor] Up until this point, we focused on getting all the information you need onto the product page. Now it's time to make your store stand out. You can do this with themes. Think of themes like the outside of the car. You can change the colors, you can add a spoiler to the back and you can tint the windows. All of these make your car look really cool but they don't affect the performance of the car. The same thing is true with themes. They're all about the looks and representing your brand but they don't affect how your store works. To get started, you can go to online store themes in the backend, or just go to www.themes.shopify.com. When you're looking for themes, try to choose one that has a good layout. Colors can easily be changed, but the layout is much harder to change. So if you want a sidebar on the left or right, make sure that your theme has that. You can browse by collections, trending this week, product recommendations, et cetera, or by industry, art and photography, or if I scroll down, I can see toys and games. Let's click that and see if any of these work for me. Over here on the left, I can see that they have filters which I can select or deselect. I can also see that there's a few themes for me here, some of which are premium and some of which are free. So we could go and look at all these, but I know already that none of these are exactly what I'm looking for. I'm going to deselect toys and games and then I'm going to go up to number of products. Because layout is one of the most important things you should be looking for, I'm going to select single product. I'm also going to look at small catalog. From here, I can see, between these two selections, that I have 31 themes. And if I go check free, now we narrow it down to four, and a few of these look pretty good. Pop looks good and I've used that in the past. Narrative looks pretty good, although I don't know if I have quite enough graphic design for this. I'm going to use debut. Let's click into this and here we can see an example of what this looks like as a main website and on the phone, as well as two different styles. So we can see the default style and the light style. Before you select this, let's click view demo. We'll open this up and here we can see we have different styles and we can choose different view ports. This is what it should look like on a phone. This looks pretty good to me and I want to add this to my site. I'll click add theme and it's been added. We're going to customize this in an upcoming video.
