Using filters for your lens

- We're out here in the Las Vegas desert on a construction site. Hear all the sounds behind us? The sun is really hot and harsh, and what we want to do today is take advantage of filters. Not filters you apply in post, but the original filters, ones sort of like these, that you actually attach to the front of the camera to deal with special lighting situations. We got a bunch of different options today, and I'm going to show you how the filters help you get the results, everything from a polarizer to adding some color to the sky, to a neutral density filter, and even a variable neutral density filter. Let's head back to the studio where it's a little quieter, and I'll walk you through them. For Video Gear Weekly, my name's Rich Harrington.
