Types of cookies
- A cucoloris or cookie as they're more commonly referred to is a lighting tool that's used to break up a light source by casting shadows or silhouettes. Cookies can be used to break up otherwise bland and plainly lit walls with some texture, cast interesting shadows on the subject, or in the case of silhouettes and other patterns, a cucoloris can be used to create the implied presence of a window, tree, doorway, or other elements of a location that don't already exist. There are several different variations and types of cookies, but they all serve the same primary purpose, to cast interesting shadows and textures. Probably the most common type of cookie as it's often included in many standard flag kits is a wooden abstract pattern cucoloris.
