- In this week's episode of Pro Video Tips, I wanna go over my advice for something that I think video people have been trying to do since the very inception of video, and that is how to make video look more like film, how to make video look more cinematic, more pleasing to the eye, and more like those big budget Hollywood films. This was a lot trickier in the early 90s when I started, but now there are actually a wide variety of techniques that you can employ to give your video more of a professional, big budget look. So let's start with the easiest and most popular method, and that is to shoot with a video camera that allows you to shoot progressive video at a frame rate of 24 frames per second. This is probably the single easiest thing you could do to start to get that elusive film look.
