New options to monitor on set
- Hi. My name's Rich Harrington. - And I'm Robbie Carman. - And welcome to this week's episode of Video Gear Weekly. Rob, this week we're talking all about monitoring. - Yeah, monitoring for production is changing a lot. Not only do we have new technologies like OLED, but we also have different resolutions like 4K, 5K, and 6K. And Rich, we're not just talking about monitoring the video signal, we're talking about of course monitoring the video signal, but also doing things like extending our desktop with machines that we might have on set so you have a little bit more sort of desktop space to work while you're on set. - [Rich] And what I find these days is that a lot's changing with the clients. We're having different needs on set. The director of photography, you need one type of monitoring while the client maybe needs another. So we're gonna explore some different things that'll help you at any budget.
