Keeping Gear Dry
- You might not think that in the desert rain would be a concern, but rain could happen anywhere and you want to keep your equipment safe. I got two types of bags I like for this. The first one I have here is called a 'dri-safe'. It's from a company called OutPack, but there's lot of ones like this and what's nice about it is that basically, you can reach in, stuff your lenses into the bag, and then you fold this over and roll it up. And then, essentially, snap it. Now what that does is create a seal. I've got a lens in here, so let's test it. Now, that would just be a rain. This is not designed to get dunked under water. Although, technically I've seen it work. Let's see how things inside did. Well, I got my lens and I got my other dry bag. Absolutely dry. Now a smaller type situation, I use these for both rain, snow, and dust, is this bag here from ^Sea to Summit, and I like these.
