How to register your drone
- Now, Rich, to their credit, the FAA has tried to streamline this process of getting registered. You mentioned there's two ways: the paper route and the web route. I think for most people, obviously, the web route is probably going to be the most user friendly. They've done quite a bit of work building out the forum and the web pages to make it happen with the least amount of hassle possible. - There is one caveat. There are terms of service posted on the web page which you might want to read. One of the things that's really up in the air right now is who's going to be able to see this registration record of who has a drone and their address and their phone number. Initially everyone thought it was just going to be law enforcement agencies, but due to things like the Freedom of Information Act, other people could theoretically request this data.
