Now here's an important concept that I want to make sure you get from this course. Ultimately, your questions are just a guideline to keep you focused on your interview goal. Don't make the novice mistake of just going straight down your list of questions one after another without regard to your subject's specific answers and demeanor. You have to pay careful attention and read between the lines of what your subject is telling you verbally and physically, because it may be necessary to change, jump ahead, or skip some of your questions as the conversation dictates. Listening and responding in the moment is what makes a difference between your subject feeling like they are having an engaging conversation versus an on- camera interrogation. If you subject mentions something that's relevant to your goal but isn't part of your list to prepared questions, you need to follow up and explore that avenue.
