- Deciding what to shoot and how to shoot it so that it all comes together in editing is always a challenge for fast paced, one time only subject matter like sports. You have to constantly be editing in your head and thinking through all the images and shots you'll need to capture to tell a complete and representative visual story. So the first thing we have to think through when choosing how to cover an event is what type of sports video we're shooting. There are a few different types of sports videos that people typically shoot and each requires a slightly different approach. I'll break them down into three general categories.
