- So Rich, at the end of every week that we use a lot of various gear, we like to do a wrap-up of kind of what we were using on set, because some things we might have talked about explicitly, other things you might have just noticed us using. And Rich, this week we're talking about creating a pure black backdrop. And just like with a white backdrop, you could choose black paper, or something similar, but I'm actually a really big fan of using black fabric or duvetyne, because it's nice and even, it has a little thickness to it, so it's not going to be transparent, and you can pretty much find duvetyne at any grip rental shop, or anything like that. - Yeah, you know, in the studio environment, we have a hanging curtain, that's a very thick, light-absorbing fabric, so it's easy to roll in and out for that strong backdrop. But sometimes on the floor we'll lay down the duvetyne, to take that white cyc into a black standing environment. So you've got exactly what you need. This is really…
