Okay, we've gone over a lot of technical and logistical issues, but now I'm going to get to the real heart of the interview process: your questions and conversation with your subject. Everything you've done up to this point--lighting, setting mics, framing and all of that stuff--will all have been for not if you don't craft and ask your questions properly. It's now all up to you and you alone to elicit your subject's funniest anecdotes, most painful memories, long-held secrets, mind-blowing theories, and candid opinions in a way that your audience will find compelling.
