Color filters

- Sometimes filters are going to introduce a tint or maybe like a gel to the overall filter. The goal here is to make corrective action. For example, when we were shooting out in the sand, I used this amber filter. And, you're the colorist, what do you think it did? - I think it warmed things up. Gave it a little bit more a natural look to it. Now, the thing with colored filters is that they can be used for stylistic purposes. Sort of warm up the image, that kind of thing. It's often used in combination with your on-camera functionality. It used to be that in the original use of these cameras when we were dealing with like one film stock and wanted to manipulate its inherent properties. Now you can do a lot of this stuff, of course, on the camera, in terms of white balance and all that kind of jazz. But this is a nice option. I think there's one thing to be concerned about here, though, that people really need to know. You are baking in this choice into your shot. - I've found that…
