- Welcome back, last week we took a look at calibrating your monitor by eye. And that's a useful skill. This week we're gonna continue our look at good calibration, however we're gonna use some hardware to make the process a bit more accurate. - Alright so we covered manual calibration. - Yep. - Not the best way to move forward. The best way, in my opinion, is to start involving hardware. Now when it comes to hardware what we are essentially doing is we're replacing our eyes with what's called a probe or a calibration meter. And I have one of those guys right here. Now the reason that we use these is that these are a sort of a true way of measuring light off of a screen. - Right, and what's gonna happen here is you're gonna put that on the screen right? And it'll actually take measurements? - Well yeah, but before we do that let's talk about one really, really important thing.
