- What I have here is a budget slider. Now this particular one is from a company called Revolve. It started as a Kickstarter campaign. Was recommended to me by my friend Canaan Flowers and one of the things I have here is a system that's designed to be ultra portable. Now it looks a little bit big here, but it breaks down really small. This particular slider is affordable because it is not a slider designed to control the camera. When you connect the camera there's no communication between the two devices, which is where a lot of the expense comes, but what it does do is it has the ability for you to dial in the speed of motion. So when you take the remote unit here and you plug this into the controller. Runs off of just normal batteries here. You plug this into the wall. Powers it up. Put that right there to run it off and then plug in the motor and you can see there even at full speed it's moving pretty slow.
