When it comes to equipment needs, our main concern is that we have all the right tools to do the job at hand. Even if you already have your own equipment package, specific needs will still vary from project to project. And you may occasionally want to rent something. There are some specialized film making tools that can really come in handy in certain shooting situations. So, I'm going to go over some of the equipment that I wanted to make sure we had on hand for this shoot, plus talk about a few specialty film making tools I like to have on hand from time to time. Let's start with the most important tool, the camera. Probably the first thing I consider when assessing equipment for a job is how many cameras I'll need.
