Calibrating displays on a Mac
- So Rich, briefly I talked about some ways of manually calibrating. I made the huge caveat of course, that manual calibration blah-blah-blah-blah-blah, not the way to go, but with that said, - Better than nothing. - Better than nothing, And of course I will show this on a PC, Let's take a quick look at this on the Mac side of things. - Yeah and I'm cross platform, so when I'm using my MacBook Pro I need to keep it calibrated. When I'm using my HP I need to keep it calibrated. So we'll go to System Preferences and where we're going to take a look here is under the actual display settings. And again we're doing two things side by side, because we're mirroring so people can see our screens, but if I go to Color this will bring this up and you'll see okay, well you can assign a profile. So for example, we're piping out to a Blackmagic switcher to record what we're doing here in the studio. It's going at HD 709. Which is probably right for that recorder. - Yeah, Rec 709 color space, sure.…
