Calibrating the Quadcopter
- Alright, we're about ready to get this thing up in the air but I can tell you from firsthand experience, you don't wanna fly this thing if it's not calibrated. So, Francis, you've turned the remote on, right? - Yes. - Alright, stage one get the remote on. Make sure you've got fresh batteries or if your rechargeable batteries are recharged. The last thing you want to do is save seven dollars and lose a 1,000 dollar plus camera system. So, the remote is on, now what? - Okay, the first thing you want to do to calibrate your DJI is to put it in calibration mode. So, you take your GPS in attitude mode and you want to make sure that you flip this switch until you see a yellow blinking light on your DJI Phantom. - Alright, we need to get the unit turned on. I'm going to hold it a safe distance away from my face because anything that has four spinning blades, you probably shouldn't do this. It's a double press, one, two, and hold, and we got some lights.
