Benefits of using a wireless mic
- So Cheryl, let's first define what a lavalier mic is. Right? We're wearing lavs. - But what are lavs good for? - Well, lavs are good for speaking, presentations, what we're doing now. Also it's great for on set when you can't follow your talent. Like, you don't want to be running around with-- - With a boom mike. - a boom. - Or something like that. - Yeah, exactly. So it allows a lot of mobility. - Cool. So, you know, lavs and their usage, you're going to find them everywhere. From interviews as Cheryl said, to narrative pieces. And they provide a lot of convenience. And here's the thing. They kind of come in two flavors. The wire variety and then the wireless variety. The wire variety obviously has a wire that goes from the microphone, like I have on here, running to a mixer or to a camera or something like that. Here's the problem, Cheryl.
