Advantages of a gimbal
- So Francis, let's talk about Gimbals. What is a Gimbal? - Gimbal is basically a stablilizer for your camera, so whichever direction you're moving into, your shot's always going to turn out smooth. - Yeah, and previously we've flown the DJI Phantom 2 Vision, now that has a built-in camera, but it's not on a Gimbal, right? - No, it is not. - Okay, so we fly the Phantom 2 Vision, you might be prone to getting a little bit of camera shake, some bumpiness, depending on wind and that kind of thing, but in the Gimbal's setup, you're going to get much smoother shots. Now, I don't know a whole lot about Gimbals. Can you walk us through the different parts that make up the Gimbal here? - So, for the Gimbal we have two counterweights, one to the left of the GoPro here, and one behind it, and also has a motor inside the Gimbal that actually helps stabilize it. - Okay, so the counterweights themselves, as they move the copter around, they kind of counteract that movement, right? - Right. - Okay,…
