Sharon Steuer has been creating artwork since she could hold a crayon. For the past three decades, she has pioneered the merging of traditional and digital art forms. Sharon's recent artwork weaves back and forth between digital and traditional tools to create imaginary worlds of childhood amid adult chaos as well as explore questions about genetic surveillance and medical privacy. She is the author of the bestselling The Adobe Illustrator WOW! books and Creative Thinking in Photoshop, and she regularly contributes to CreativePro.com.
Sharon has been honored to receive the Faber Birren National Color Award, a Winsor & Newton painting award, three Benjamin Franklin Awards, and an Artist Fellowship grant from the Connecticut Commission on the Arts. Sharon's painting studio is in the Mission District in San Francisco, and she lives with Lynda.com author and San Francisco State University professor husband, Jeff Jacoby.
