- [Instructor] Another change that the evolution of CMS has brought about, the importance of dependency control. I alluded to this in the last video, you used a bit of content someplace and you want to change it. Now in the good old days, this could be an enormous chore, because first of all you had to know where you had used it, how many places did you use the content and typically this had to be track manually, and you also usually had to make the changes manually too or sometimes you get to use a find and replace command for a website, but it often didn't give you much ability to track history of those changes. And if you needed to make changes across channels, like for instance you wanted to change that mission statement on all your websites and in all your printed materials, well, you're going to have to address all of those individually, which might take a while.
