- Before we get started with Excel PowerPivot and SharePoint 2013, here are a few things you should know to get the most from this course. First, this course specifically covers PowerPivot in Excel 2013. I'm also focused on using SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise Edition, which includes Excel Services for rendering Excel workbooks in the browser. And finally, you should already be relatively proficient with Excel, and preferably familiar with using PivotTables. This is not an in-depth course on using PowerPivot, PowerView, or SharePoint.
If you would like to dig deeper into those topics, there are some great courses on lynda.com. I recommend Curt Frye's Excel 2013 PivotTables in Depth, and Gini Courter's SharePoint Server 2013 Essential Training.
