Learn how to create a view using the variable [Today] to filter results.
- [Instructor] If you're the type of person…that loves creating views, then this feature…is definitely for you.…It's called the Today Value, and it allows…you to filter data, based on the current date.…Let's work with a specific scenario.…I was recently asked to create a view showing…only items that were only seven or less days old.…In other words, items recently created…over the past seven days.…Here's how I went about it.…
Here in this library called Marketing Materials,…I'm going to go ahead and create a view.…To do this, I'll go to the Command Bar,…where it currently says, All Documents.…This is the default view in this library.…I'll click on the dropdown arrow,…and here I'm going to click on Save View.…This will allow me to give this view a new name.…And I'm going to call it, Last Seven Days.…And from here, I'll click on Save.…
Now you'll notice the Command Bar reads,…Last Seven Days.…I now want to edit this view, so I'll click on…the dropdown arrow again, and click on Edit Current View.…This brings us into the Edit View configuration window.…
