- [Instructor] Something that I'm going to try to steer you away from is making site-wide changes to table formats. The built-in tools for tables give you plenty of control for colors, for borders, headers, footer roles, et cetera. And personally, I think different tables need to look differently in different scenarios. Yes, you can redefine the CSS for table body, table head, table footer, table row, but then you're locking yourself into a single approach and yes you're style will be consistent and standardized, but I think that this is one place where having flexibility is actually much more important. And once again, this is something that does not work in the modern experience so you have to do this with a table in a classic web part page. However, in the interest of science, I will show you how it's done.
