- [Instructor] When building a workflow, one of the most often overlooked items is organization. Organization is especially important if your workflow is really large and complex. In SharePoint Designer, workflows were organized in steps or stages depending on what version of designer you are using. You could group your conditions and actions into individual steps or stages, and they would run in that order that you specify. Here we have a SharePoint Designer 2013 workflow which is utilizing Stages. Stages are similar to steps in that they allow you to group conditions and actions. However they give you the additional benefit of being able to transition between different stages. With stages you get the go to a stage option where you can either repeat the conditions and actions in the current stage or transition to a new one.
