Set up a new Yammer network
- If you already have a Yammer account, you don't need to watch this movie. You can skip to the next one. But if you are setting up Yammer so that you can follow along with this course, or to check it out as part of a pilot or research for your organization, I want to quickly show you where you go to set up Yammer and how that works. You go to www.yammer.com and you're asked to enter your work email address. If I enter an email address that is, for example, a Gmail address and try to sign up, notice it just tells me Retry. It won't even tell you why but I'll tell you why, because this needs to be a work email address. So if, for example, I enter my email address for our existing Yammer network, and I retry, then it will take me to my Yammer account and ask me to login because it knows that I already have an account available to me in Yammer. If, on the other hand, I'm setting up a new account for an organization that doesn't already have a Yammer account, and I enter my work email…
