- There are two ways you can save a site as a template.…One way is the way you'd like to be able to save it…and the other way is the way you may need to…if this site or one of its parent sites…has ever been a publishing site…even if that feature's no longer turned on.…So let's start with the easy way.…You're going to choose Settings, the gear,…and Site Settings.…And then in the Site Actions group,…you're going to choose Save site as a template.…So here we are in our site.…We'll choose Site settings…and in the Site Actions group,…we would like it to say Save site as a template…and if that link were here, we would click that link…and you would end up on a page…that looks just like this…where you would fill in a File name,…and primarily when people look for this,…they won't look by File name…because on the template picker page,…they will see the Template name you gave it…and a Template description.…
So in this case, I would call this KinetEco,…that's the name of our company,…Project Site.…If it was a specific type of project site,…
