Permission protection for access and editing

- [Narrator] One of the nice features in SharePoint is that you can use permission groups to control access to libraries and lists. Let's use this library for our example. We'll start by going to the library settings page, click the gear, and select library settings. Now, if you don't have a link for library settings, you probably don't have permission and you'll need to talk to your site owner to put any of this into place. But you may want to watch the rest of the video so that you can explain to them what you want better. So on the Settings page, let's take a look at what the permissions currently are. We'll click permissions for this document library. And these are the permission settings right now, the permission levels. So these are default, I haven't done anything special yet.
