Joining the SharePoint SQL machine to the domain
- Everything is ready to go now, to go ahead and join the SP machine to the sharepoint.pri domain. The domain controller's up and has been up for at least five to ten minutes. So now I can double click the SP machine, click "start", and I'm going to login as administrator. I'm just going to do a quick check to make sure that it has the correct IP settings. It should be 192.168.25.20, I believe. I'll go ahead and login here. I'm going to make it full screen. Right click PowerShell, run as administrator, and do IP config. There we go, 192.168.25.20 and the only adaptor that's on here is the private network adaptor. The same thing with the domain controller. So now it's going to be time to join this to the SharePoint.pri domain. To do that I'm going to go ahead and hit the "windows" key. I'm going to right click "computer" and I'm going to say "properties." Down here, computer name, I'm going to click "change settings."
