- [Narrator] Next let's talk about ALM APIs. ALM stands for Application Lifecycle Management. So the whole purpose that we're trying to solve here with these APIs, is that we want APIs on multiple platforms and ways to access, which allow us to manage SharePoint Framework Solutions in our tenancy. Multiple site collections, any arbitrary collection, offsite collections, or frankly for that matter, any arbitrary collection off our SharePoint solution packages. Also, these APIs apply not just to SPFx packages, but also add-ins. I'm not covering add-ins in this course, but the same APIs will work on both. Currently, at the time of recording this course, these APIs are available for the tenant app catalog only. The site collection app catalog will have this support added in early 2018. So what do these APIs allow me to do? Well at a very high level, they allow you to manage your SPFx solutions and Add-ins.
