There's something called a Content Type in SharePoint, and you will care about these.…You just may not know that yet.…Let's say my wife is reading a book by the fireplace, and I ask her, what are you reading?…Well, she can really annoy me with one answer, a book.…I know it's a book.…What type of book is it?…I'm interested in its type.…SharePoint has the same problem.…If I'm uploading things into SharePoint, all I seem to work with is documents.…But you don't think about your stuff this way.…
You don't deal with documents.…You deal with resumes, and specifications, and business plans, and menus and expense forms.…So you can fix this problem in SharePoint by defining Content Types.…Now these are not the same file types. The idea is this.…You might have a file type of a Word document.…Well, this Word document could be a resume, or it could be a legal contract, or a…policy document, or a patient record.…However, if you're immediately thinking, well, okay we've got…one-to-many relationship here.…
It's not that simple, because one Content Type could be multiple file types.…
