- Now it's time to install Windows 8 on the W8 client Machine. Just to validate something I'm gonna highlight the Machine, click Settings, and make sure that's it's only got the External Network Adapter attached, which is indeed the case. So I'll go ahead and click OK. I'm not gonna need the Private Network Adapter until I'm ready to join this Machine to the domain. So I'll double-click the Machine to start it up. We can validate that the media is installed by simply clicking Media and DVD Drive when the screen gets to a certain point, and making sure that we have the ISO attached, which we do. So I'm gonna go into Full Screen Mode, I'm going to accept these defaults, because they're appropriate for where I'm at, and I'm gonna click Install Now. I'll go ahead and accept the License Terms, you may be required to put in a license key depending on how your particular configuration is for your Windows 8.1 installation.
