- With Microsoft Office successfully installed, I've logged into the Windows 8 machine under spadmin's account and I've gone to the Microsoft Download Center using Internet Explorer. Here I'm gonna search for sharepoint designer 2013. I'm gonna go ahead and click SharePoint Designer 2013, Download, and then I'm very carefully gonna choose the 64bit version because I have the 64-bit version of Office installed. If I was on a machine with the 32-bit version of Office installed, I would very carefully select 32bit. I'll go ahead and click Next. I'll click Allow, Always Allow from the Download Center pop-ups. I'm gonna save this to my Desktop, Save As, Desktop. It's very clearly named sharepointdesigner_64bit and that's just fine. This is gonna take a little while so I'll come back when it's all done. SharePoint Designer has finished downloading, so I can close all this stuff and I should have it on my Desktop. I'm simply going to right click it and say Run as Administrator. Click Yes…
