- Well it's time to start installing SharePoint. So to get started, we're going to first attach the ISO for the SharePoint installation media. I'll put the virtual machine into this mode, so I get the Menu. I'll click the Media, DVD Drive, Insert Disk..., find my SharePoint installation media, mount it. I'll give it a few moments. If it doesn't come into play, I'll go ahead and try and get to it through Windows Explorer, but first I'll put this in the Full Screen Mode. Hey, there we go! All right, I finally saw it pop up. I'll double-click this, open up the Run splash.hta. I'll run it as an HTML Application host. And the first thing we're gonna be doing is installing the prerequisites. Again, I'm logged in as SPAdmin, which is also in the local administrator's group here on this machine. I'll click Install software prerequisites. I'll click Yes. I will click Next.
