- [Instructor] Okay time to roll up our sleeves and get to work. Now the first step will be to install PowerPivot and PowerView. This is pretty simple but there is a caveat, you need to have the correct licensing for this to be available. As I mentioned at the beginning of the class Microsoft has some complicated licensing structures. PowerPivot is only available in new versions of Excel, I think from 2013 on. Also, you need to have Office Professional Plus or better for the add-ins to be available. Now I'm running Office 365 ProPlus so I always have the most current versions of the Office tools, but you may wanna check what you've got before you go any further. By the way, this is separate from my earlier comments about having an Enterprise server license, you need that to be able to connect to Excel with SharePoint and we'll get to that later.
