- [Instructor] So you're thinking to yourself, "Wow, SharePoint really is cool, and I'd really like to use list to better manage my data than in Excel. But I've already got the information in Excel, and it will be such a hassle to have to reenter everything manually." Well, I've got some good news and some not-quite-as-good news. The good news is that it's possible to convert an Excel spreadsheet into a new SharePoint list. You can do it from Excel or directly in SharePoint. There's even a built-in app to do it. The not-quite-so-good news? Well, to be completely honest, the process is problematic. It will sometimes fail for no good reason no matter what way you do it.
