- [Instructor] There are two different types of SharePoint Hybrid Search. One is called the cloud hybrid search and the other is called hybrid federated search. And the hybrid federated search is broken down into outbound search or inbound search. Now, if you have some on-premises content that's highly sensitive and shouldn't be indexed outside your on-premises network, then it is recommended that you use a combination of both types of search, both cloud hybrid and hybrid federated search. Otherwise, Microsoft point blank recommends that you should just use cloud hybrid search 'cause it comes with many benefits.
