Use Quick View to edit the date field that trigers the transfer of records from our department site into the records repository.
- Today is the big day.…Today is the day that we finally are…going to transfer documents from our…project collaboration site, or our…finance collaboration site, into…our records center, so to do that…we need to be able to view the event date,…and then I'll show you how to do a quick edit.…I'm going to come into my documents library…and I'm going to modify the view.…I'm going to come down to the bottom,…and in this particular case I'm just…going to modify All Documents here.…
I'm going to choose Record Event Date…and click OK.…So now I can see here in the document…library, and then assuming that I have content…types associated with these documents that will…transfer over to the records center, then all…I have to do is fill in a record event date.…In this case, I need to change this content…type, so I'm going to edit this…and edit All,…and I'm going to choose instead of Document…I'm going to choose that Policy Procedure.…
I could just do the record event date here…if I was just doing one of them, but again…I want to show you how to do this in bulk.…
