Custom workflows

- Custom Workflows. These will make or break your composite. This is where you want to concentrate your area of expertise. This is also where that work that you put into understanding the type of data, whether it's structured, unstructured, semi-structured, the columns that you need, and the business process will come to fruition. Custom Workflows. They are created with SharePoint Designer 2013, which is a free download. Now you want to download the version of SharePoint Designer to match the rest of Office, that is 32-bit or 64-bit. Frankly, unless you're working with Excel Power Pivot and using large, tens of millions of rows in a data model, I really don't know why you'd use 64-bit, but you could. So normally you're going to be using 32-bit. Workflows can be simple or extremely sophisticated. What you're going to want to do is just develop a couple, just fooling around, but then take the abstraction of the process that you've already created, and do it in major and minor steps. So…
