Creating custom permission levels

- [Instructor] SharePoint comes configured with a variety of permission levels, but at times there's a need for a little more control than what was provided for you out-of-the-box. To create custom permission levels, navigate to the top or root level of the site. Click the settings menu and select site settings. and select site settings. In the user and permissions group, select site permissions. In the manage group of the ribbon, click the permissions level button. The out-of-the-box options appear in the window. Note the descriptions of the permissions. This is very important to provide to your site owners. To create a new permission level, click the add a permission level link. There are three levels of permissions, list, site, or personal permissions. Be sure to view all of the options available. In the name field, type the name for your permission level.
