- Everything we've done so far has relied upon the server name and the default port of http which is 80. Now we're gonna go ahead and create an intranet web application which will go towards building a testing intranet environment. So I'm gonna go into my SharePoint machine and I'm logged in as SP_Admin, let me validate that, yep SPAdmin. And what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go into Central Administration and create a new SharePoint Web Application. So I'll hit the Windows key, I'll type in central, give it a moment to find SharePoint Central Administration. And I'll right-click that and I'm gonna go ahead and pin this to the taskbar cause I'm gonna be coming back to this particular place a lot as a SharePoint administrator. So I'm going into Central Administration and what I'm gonna be looking for is manage web applications. And manage web applications is where I'm gonna use Central Administration's Graphical User Interface to create a new SharePoint Web Application. Here I am in…
