- [Instructor] Something that you can already do with a pivot table is connect to other data sources, like SQL or Access database. Power Pivot does that, plus it adds a bunch of other options as well. Now, one word of caution, when you're adding data from other sources, you need to make sure that this is going to be something accessible to your eventual audience through SharePoint, or however else you're gonna share it with them. If you link to an SQL database that requires special authentication, well, it's gonna mess up that BI center that we're setting up. If you're not sure what databases you can safely link to, check with your system admin. I'm going to connect with an Access database. Once again, if you wanna follow along, you'll find this in the class files. Look for database_02_04.
